Matt Leggo (Mateo Leguizamón)
Role: Lead Guitar, Vocals
Background: Colombian-born Matt Leggo is the driving force behind Flür, blending Classic Rock, Blues, and Latin influences into a distinctive sound. Initially self-taught on the guitar, Matt’s early influences include rock legends like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. His passion for music led him to attend multiple music schools, where he refined his skills under the guidance of two guitar coaches. In 2019, Matt moved to Seattle, a city that inspired him to launch Flür as a solo project, where he wrote, arranged, and produced all the music himself.
Matt continues to educate himself, working with coaches in guitar, vocals, and music production. His bilingual lyrics and intricate guitar work reflect his journey from Colombia to Seattle, giving Flür its unique, culturally rich sound. As the lead guitarist and vocalist, Matt’s hands-on approach to every aspect of the music makes him the creative cornerstone of Flür. He also plays with artist Sarah Camile, contributing lead guitar to her folk rock and country EP and assisting with song editing.
Marty Aman
Role: Rhythm Guitar
Background: Marty Aman is a modern-sounding guitarist whose style is based on Instrumental Progressive Metal. He has been coached by guitarist and artist Angel Vivaldi and currently leads another band called World Under Water, where he takes on leadership roles. Matt Leggo is also a member of World Under Water, playing rhythm metal guitar. Marty’s influences include Angel Vivaldi, Born of Osiris, Gojira, and Tool. A versatile musician, Marty showcases his talent across different genres.
Jason Macduff
Role: Drums
Background: Jason Mcduff has a background in music studies and is also a skilled piano player. His influences include Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, and Blues. He currently plays for iBuildBridges, a nonprofit organization that Matt Leggo is also involved with, which is how Matt connected with him and invited him to join Flür. Jason helps record and create beats for friends and rappers in the Seattle scene.
Jon Beatima (Jon the Boptist)
Role: Bass Guitar
Background: Jon Beatima, also known as Jon the Boptist, is a bass player who also plays in iBuildBridges, where his growth as a musician is evident. iBuildBridges is a multi-genre band, allowing him to develop versatility on his instrument. His musical influences include Hip Hop, Rap, Rock, and Worship music. Jon is also a rapper who creates multiple songs and beats under the name Jon the Boptist and is an active member of his church band, further reflecting his diverse musical interests.
