Origins and Formation
Flür was founded in 2020 by Colombian-born musician Mateo Leguizamón, also known as Matt Leggo. After relocating to Seattle in 2019, Matt was inspired to start Flür as a solo project, driven by his passion for blending Classic Rock, Blues, and Latin influences. Initially self-taught on guitar, Matt refined his skills through various music schools and with the guidance of two guitar coaches. He wrote, arranged, and produced all of Flür’s music, creating a distinctive sound characterized by bilingual lyrics and a rich blend of genres.
The Band Comes to Life
Although Flür began as a solo endeavor, it gained momentum in 2023 with the addition of three talented musicians: Marty Aman on Rhythm Guitar, Jason Mcduff on Drums, and Jon Beatima (Jon the Boptist) on Bass Guitar. The band’s dynamic live performances quickly established their presence in the Seattle music scene.
